The Patterson Project Massacre

#thepp

An Unexplained Tragedy at Camp Nelson, California

Disturbing cabin still

What Happened?

On June 24th, 2022 a crew of filmmakers went missing while making a found footage horror film called The Patterson Project at a cabin timeshare in Camp Nelson, California.

The group was led into the woods by auteur writer/director Chase Bradner. Upon reviewing the footage from their shoot, local authorities deemed it inconclusive, before having a local witch doctor burn the tapes as part of their protocol.

Fortunately, the footage was also retrieved by the Film Committee at Le Musée d’Orange (The Orange Museum) who had contracted a documentary crew to follow the making of The Patterson Project.

Once the editors at the avant-garde museum intercut the images captured by their cameras with Chase’s, a grim and disturbing picture took hold.

It showed a production terrorized by an evil demonic force, culminating in a sequence of events so disturbing and frankly scary, it would be immoral to commit their essence to the written word.

This website is dedicated to those brave young filmmakers who went missing while doing what they love. It is a celebration of their work and a resource for their ongoing search.

If anyone has information on any aspects of any subject, please call 1-844-PAT-PROJ.

The Evidence?

Timeshare Log

Timeshare Log

The closest thing we have to a record of events leading up to the disappearance. Most of the entries are families that own the timeshare, although there is one irregularity. The week before the crew arrived, a couple signed into the log as “Andras Keeper”. This is the first of several mentions of “Andras” found throughout the cabin.

The book

The Book

An untitled book of unknown date and origin. Forensics testing showed it was stitched from animal remains. The book lists several alleged demons, providing a description of their temperament and process. The book was found opened to a bloodstained page on the Demon Andras, “The Great Marquee of Hell”.

Andras

Still from the shoot that may have caught a glimpse of the alleged entity.

The Sigil

Found in the basement, along with an assortment of classified items related to occult behavior. The forensic technician tasked with analyzing the sigil stared at this seemingly random collection of shapes and symbols for several hours before attacking his fellow scientists with a particularly sharp set of tweezers. This prompted local police to call the local witch doctor again to exorcize the evil evidence from their precinct.

Feathers

Feathers

Several raven feathers were discovered at the cabin, but there were no signs of bird entry. No white poop or anything. Just feathers. Upon further research, obsessed loners have discovered that Andras has been seen throughout history in the form of a humanoid with a Raven’s head.

Who is Andras?

Depiction of Andras

Artist rendering of Andras compiled from witness accounts and lore texts.

Andras is the trickster demon of legend, first chronicled in Sumerian tablets as "Andara," spirit of crossroads. In those early texts, he is described as a laughing shade that guided travelers into pits of snakes. From Mesopotamia, his worship—or curse—traveled to Hellenistic Greece, where Orphic hymns speak of a "joker of the underworld" who toyed with Dionysian rites, turning wine to venom and dancers to dust. During the medieval era, grimoires recorded Andras as a minor demon invoked to sow discord: monks awoke to overturned coffins, shrines desecrated by unseen hands. The Malleus Maleficarum names him as a master of illusions, responsible for phantom fires and broken icons in secluded abbeys.

In Renaissance Italy, Andras was blamed for outbreaks of ecstatic madness—the so-called "laughing plagues" where entire villages convulsed with forbidden laughter, often ending in hysteria, suicide, or possession. Travelogues from colonial America recount settlers driven from their cabins by disembodied giggles, mirrors fogging with bloody handprints at midnight. Folklore in Appalachia recalls Andras as the "devil at the crossroads," exchanging souls for talent, only to devour the host body once the deed was done.

Modern occultists reference Andras in interviews: ghost hunters report their cameras rearranged, equipment snapped in half, all while a mocking voice whispers names in the darkness. Psychiatric case studies of shared psychosis note subjects speaking in unison of a prancing imp, crowning himself king of chaos. Victims describe a buildup—small pranks: furniture shifting, footsteps echoing—escalating to full possession, where the host’s eyes turn black and their laughter becomes a gurgling scream.

Possession by Andras is marked by four stages: the Whispers—auditory hallucinations guiding the victim; the Tricks—environmental poltergeist phenomena; the Collapse—a mental break where reality fractures; and the Feast, where Andras consumes the soul. Forensic examinations post-possession find strange burn patterns on the tongue, as if the demon’s laughter burned from within.

Though often dismissed as myth, Andras sightings continue: surveillance footage from an abandoned fairground shows a carousel spinning with no power, a single voice chanting, "Mirth and ruin," on loop. In 2023, a viral livestream captured a woman’s possessions flung across her apartment while she convulsed in laughter—then collapsed, unresponsive, a single whisper echoing: "Playtime’s over."

Across cultures and centuries, Andras persists: the laughing devil, the prankster of souls. His lore is woven into every human fear of being mocked, of sanity unhinged, of soul devoured. He reminds us that the greatest trick is the one we never see coming.
